It's official, 20" and 27" iMacs are for sale!

I've had the 27" out of the box like a week, but a recent trip to a mates house and seeing he monster rig pushed me over the edge. His DiRT 3 benchmark with everything maxed was 60fps at 1920x1080. Most of the time you have to blink as it looks so real, which I knew from talking to Andy about the beast he bought. So 1920x1080 gaming will make a return to the house of FREAK!

It is all very rushed, and unexpected! I just need to focus on building a quiet PC. Tomorrow I'll migrate everything to the laptop and run stuff from there until she's bought and built.

I ran F1-2010 (bought for the PC in readiness as I saw it cheap on eBay new) on the 2500x1400 res iMac. Depsite turning options down and leaving AA off, it ran pretty well tbh! It looked freaking awesome. I've also completely recorded all footage for the F1-2010 Teaser Trialer too over the past few days! Plus, I've picked the music as well!!

Gr8 news m8, about new build- f1, dirt3, nfs hot pursuit, shift 2 on the beast look fekking awesome. As you say 60fps on 1920x1080 high settings looks really sweet and Dirt 3 is running on mine between 60-65fps average on every benchmark i run- antivirus software i used made it run at 45fps average so got rid of it. I assume its the antivirus as i regulary got around 45fps with it installed and since uninstall every time now is above 60fps.

AV is crap, it has to hog so much resource, lucky for me I never use it.

I seemed to be settled on a couple of specs, just need to slowwww down and wait for the iMacs to sell. I've nowhere else I can store stuff. She would murder me in my sleep, so I'll hang fire.
