| I haven't brought this yet, after getting my fingers burnt on 2010... what's everyone's thoughts on this years version? Does it still have game recking bugs and elastic band AI? |

| Not tested it enough to have found bugs yet Rob, it's better than 2010 for sure. AI is also loads better compared. It's had a lot of work, that much is clear so far. |

| I like the fact you just can't drive around and take the wazz, a fast lap takes more effort than in 2010. The offline racing, due to AI were also better when I ran a few 20%'ers. Which I did with no assists and fuel and tyre wear onski.
I did a race in Pro (3rd diff setting?) I started 4th, finished 3rd with an error. It's not a walk in the park, but I used a bloggo car with no changes, so that's how it should be.

| After finally getting my copy this week I'd say it's deffo an improvement over 2010. The Positives: The AI is a lot better (couldn't be much worse than 2010 tho could it?!) although I have yet to see one cause theSC to be deployed (which leads me to beleive they haven't got Kobayashi's AI profile correct ). The cars seem a LOT twitchier and the addition of KERS & DRS makes you realise what the drivers have to cope with nowadays. Overall I'm finiding it a lot harder than 2010 - which is a good thing (if frustrating!). I took the easy option in career & picked a Lotus so there's one less gizmo to worry about! Main Gripes: The menu system. Shocking. Everything is buried all over the place. I'd have loved them to make it Kinect compatible so we could actually use in cockpit view to get the peripheral vision for the apexes, so unfortunatley it's still T-cam view for me. there also seems to be a big difference between Pro (3rd) & Legendary or whatever (4th) skill setting. Could be because I'm not used to the new physics etc. but it seems to be a lot bigger jump between those 2 than the other settings. In Pro I got from 6th to 1st before turn 1 at Melb in a Macca (even with massive wheel spin) but on the top diff I got swamped & even got passed by Kovi to the same spot... I'd say top diff is correct but Pro needs to be a bit harder. The game has also broken my original MS FF wheel. I didn't realise they'd recalled them in 2007 for an overheating/burst into flames issue. I found this out the hard (& hot) way... |

| They updated the PSU's I reckon Chaz. Andy has just bought mine and I'm sure it a newer design PSU, unlike the others I've owned... ^^Could be because I'm not used to the new physics etc. Yep! Pro is a challenge, I guess it should be. I think at Nurb I started 4th and finished 3rd with no assists and real tyre/fuel consumption turned on etc. It'll just mean tweaking the settings I'm sure. |

| You playing this on your PC Wains? The game is ten times more fluid on there than the consoles, it makes it a much more rewarding drive I think.
I'm leading the championship with 6 races to go in the Force India playing on professional AI difficulty with no assists. Playing with TCS is for pussies and far far too easy to drive. |

| I've booted both now, yep the beast 300% smoother. The 360 is just for the admin for the Series here tbh. I've not touched it recently, but will be again this week. All the tasks done for the 2010 Series have to be redone. I would like to get my teeth into a review, it's just time. TCS would tame the experience, especially in the wet. I think in 2011 in the wet it's possible to lap faster with TCS on, which is a gr8 shame. TCS is required for those who don't wanna tip-toe and think about every press of the throttle. It doesn't help one bit sadly though, as my PC has had major issues since I bought the overclocked bundle and built it. There are 2 reasons I've not sorted it. I'm really struggling at the mo and I can't get my head around it, plus it runs so well when I can get it booted and staying on that I forgive it. If anything it's actually become more unstable despite trying different ram voltages. I'm losing posts I make online, video edits, you name it. I got all the bits from Overclockers. I've got 3 days off for my Forza stuff. If I don't get joy from the Manager, I'll be heading to Stoke(?)! If he refuses to supply me a stable PC with all the bits I bought from them (supposed to be 100% stable overclocked matched stuff) I will explain he's about to feel pain! Begging him to reconsider. I'll give him 10 seconds to change his mind, if he still shows me the finger, I'll set him on fire where he stands. Don't worry, I'll put him out with one of their own extinguishers. I'll take one of my own just in case they don't have them to hand. That should allow him to see the error of his ways. For a £1,600 build, I expect perfection AND something that'll run for more than 1hr without locking up/blue-screening, etc, etc. You could all be reading about me on the news next week. It's not like me tbh, but I'm not suffering this for another week longer. I 'hope' he is really helpful and empathetic, if not so be it. |

| Didn't realise you bought from OcUK, if you have spoken to Gibbo he's supposed to be a decent guy. You're right though for £1,600 I would expect that computer to tuck me in at night nevermind pump out the latest and greatest games flawlessly in high definition at some silly resolution!

| ^^Cheers JM, tbh I've not spoken with anyone yet. Just online. I've made a request for the Managers name and number so I can ring him. As of yet my post telling them that I changed bios setting as advised and it didn't help, hasn't been replied to. I've already spelled out that my plan is to take the fekkin thing to them to sort next week. AFAIK the issue this beast has, stems from the bundle. M/Board, CPU, RAM. They don't even offer the bundle based on the same board any longe. They have avoided answering a 'direct' question asking whether they found issues which led to stop using that board in the bundle.
TBH it's an MSI board, and I've been building new PC's for people for years using the same boards, they have always been stellar performers mate. |
