| Rival's is a real assett to Forza 4. You can earn shed-loads of CR and level/exp up too. You can pick a time from the boards set with the same car you like, and target those who use the same assists too. The monthly one I'm doing at the mo, also has other cars on the track. Clever stuff. It's like racing the AI (so an SP game) with the ghost of the person you're trying to beat (so almost like online). When you pick new times to beat, simply do little steps (if you don't mind driving the track over and over) and you'll get huge Credits each time. Plus you're levelling up too. The AI always drive the same, so it's a lot like those Series in GT5 (sorry to compare over and over) where you say lap at the Nurb in the Merc's and have to finish in a set position. Just remember though, in this mode, there will come a time where you first standing-start lap may not beat your rival, as they may have set their fastest time on lap 2 etc. Also be aware they obviously didn't drive with the same AI on their track, as they often obscure your AI cars from view and drive through them, literally. This will help ppl have a break from the Career and Event path, have fun, earn credits and level up tooski.

| ^^100% agree
BTW, I forgot an important point about Rivals. Your lap must be clean, so you cannot fault on a lap, so if you come off the track and crash you can't beat your rival. Plus, your lap is also scrapped if you hit the A.I (or are knocked by them) on track. |

| Slight correction to the above m8; it depends on the rival lap - if that's not a clean lap, yours will beat it if it's quicker & not clean. If you do a clean lap & your rival is unclean then no matter how slow you are in comparison, you'll win. :) |

| I gave it a try Wain. I didnt like it. The ten pin bowls are very strange too. Its the one thing I hated about Dirt 3 was all that gate crashing. It messed with my mind. I will give it a good go though before I throw the towel in. But for now im concentrating on rivals. |

| Just think of Autocross as a serious race between coned areas, so you attempt to max out like you would in a TTC, but using cones for reference. It does make you think about the lap, and use other skills too. For example when coned areas for a slalom get closer together you have to lose the speed to get through each one.
It's just an extra thing to do as a diversion from driving, paining, modding, racing etc. I'd have loved to see a plave where you could create your own and share them. Say at the benchmark tracks with the buildings and trick areas in huge concrete areas. |
