Subject: WRC2 Vid for Andy and the Fweaks... 30/4/2012, 8:26 am
Hi All
I've just bought this, and have to say I'm quite impressed. After the terrible demo for WRC, I have stuck well clear. Biggest shock, and I prefer this to DiRT3! Handling does it for me, DiRT3 is way too easy imho.
Only minus comments about it are: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] -Tarmac cars are too high, you'll see what I mean. Easily rectified. -Can't save a replay AFAIK -Cars don't get dirty enough, but not a deal breaker
The PC version is running in the Vid, my 360 version is ordered, Andy has ordered his PC version just now and Roversnut already has it.
Both PC and 360 version are under a tenner. Most Stages take 4+ mins to drive, it has 13 different Countries, and whilst there is no night driving - I forgive it because I prefer the lower-grip physics compared to DiRT 3.
I'm converted me thinks!
:)
A very quick view of I think 8 locations from the Game.

Thanks m8 for posting although i had already ordered for pc- about £6.50 with reward points taken off. i liked the old wrc games on ps2 and the previous one (2010) was just about playable.

I spent hours looking at PC replays, and especially highlighted on tarmac - the way the car grips until you push too hard looked quite good. Most ppl were over-driving then backing off mid turn and the back would step out, which is what happens (or should happen) if accurate.
Really didn't see this coming, after being appauled by the lack of tracks and and locations in D3, along with the silly speeds you can carry into corners etc, this is a true treat. The pricing as it is 6 months old is simply a bonus. It'll deffo get pre-order when WRC3 lands.
Will be arranging some virtual rallying for us asap!!
Just need to check on a few things first...
