20 odd driving friends are the reason I made SpeedFreaks. It's a "thanks" to them. A tribute to their loyalty and friendship. I ran driving gatherings at another Clan for a long time - up until March 2011. So my friends and I have much history.

In March 2011, after a driver had a go at friends/drivers I asked Admin (as I was already Staff) to consider action. They did not see fit. After 28 happy months, I stepped down. My options? Stop running DiRT, Forza, GT-5 (and soon F1) projects, and drive elsewhere. I had other options too, one included building my own site and run it as I saw fit. The rest is history. Friends here, have all helped shape SpeedFreaks in some way. Those suffering the verbal attacks are helping in an official capacity here.

I'll seek any further help and expand SpeedFreaks at a safe pace in future. I hope you like driving enough at SpeedFreaks enough to stay. But I offer a quick "sorry" in advance. The rules, despite being basic, will be no-nonesense. If you join this happy/chilled place and meet my friends, please know that I'm not going to let anyone ruin the peace.
